Post-Event Analysis
A post-event analysis occurs when a service professional, and specifically the event captain of a service professional team, conducts a review of an event. The bar captain performs their own version of a post-event analysis as a post-event review.
After the bar captain debriefs with the bar staff, they should complete a post-event review. This review includes:
Documenting any damage to the venue, equipment, or inventory outstanding requests or needs, and/or peculiarities with respect to documentation (e.g., the rental list or beverage inventory sheet)
Communicating all documented details to the event captain and to the client or relevant venue contact
Ensuring understanding and satisfaction with the client or relevant venue contact before departing
Communicating and specifics in service that should be shared to ensure team is better prepared for then next event at the location, or in general.
