A post-event analysis occurs when a service professional—specifically, the event captain of a service professional team—conducts a review of an event. The sanitation captain performs their own version of a post-event analysis through a post-event review.
After completing a final walkthrough to confirm the space is organized and clean and debriefing with the sanitation staff, the sanitation captain should complete a post-event review. This review includes:
Documenting any damage to the venue or equipment (images/photos) outstanding requests or needs, and/or any documentation irregularities (e.g., the rental list)
Communicating all documented details to the event captain and the client or relevant venue contact
Confirming understanding and satisfaction with the client or relevant venue contact before departing
